01Overview

What it is for

Loading, unloading and tarping a truck expose the worker to falls from height, and the pace of the operation usually does not allow long stops. The truck lifeline protects the worker without holding up the operation.

How it works

A self-retracting lanyard attached to a trolley runs along a rail installed above the vehicle. Any worker with basic work-at-height training can use the system.

Available models

The model is chosen according to the layout of the yard and the vehicle:

  • Mobile lifeline: a gantry on casters that can be moved to the vehicle, with an integrated access ladder.
  • Column lifeline with swing arm: a fixed column 6 or 7 m high with a 1.5 m arm, for 1 user per system. See the details of this model.
  • Single-sided column lifeline: a column installed on one side of the truck, with a beam over the truck body. Suitable when there is free space on only one side of the vehicle.
