Overhead Lifeline

What it is for

When work takes place below a structure or roof, over machines, equipment or vehicles, the overhead lifeline lets the worker move along the entire span without being unprotected at any point.

How it works

A pass-through trolley runs along the steel cable and crosses the intermediate supports on its own, so the user never needs to disconnect along the way.

Structural design

In cable systems, the catenary effect multiplies the force transmitted to the anchorages during a fall. That is why the supporting structure is always analysed in detail in the design. When the span or the structure requires it, we also consider a rigid rail as a lower-impact alternative.
