Fixed Ladder Lifeline

What it is for

The traditional safety cage on a fixed ladder gives a sense of security, but in a fall it can even make the worker’s injuries worse. The vertical lifeline protects during climbing and descending without giving up the convenience of ladder access.

Installation

The system fits practically any existing fixed ladder. It is clamped directly to the ladder. It can also be bolted or welded, subject to professional assessment, since this depends on where it will be fixed on the ladder. In many cases the customer’s own maintenance team can install it.

Optional items

High-efficiency energy absorber and tension indicator are not part of the standard supply and can be purchased separately.

When NR-12 applies

When the fixed ladder is the means of access to machines and equipment, NR-12 also sets requirements for that access.
